I want to thank Rosie who sent me this picture of the familiar Hanalei Bay Pier. As you can see the ocean conditions were dangerous. Rosie said the pictures don't do the situation justice. The photo was taken on 1-23-14.

Rosie just sent me this photo of the view from her lanai this morning. She was at the Pono Kai this week. There have been high surf warnings and the waves were something to see. Like she said "Mother Nature is awesome".

There are so many great Beaches on Kauai but this one is really unique. It has a lot of glass that the waves beat down over time and make into smooth pebbles. Some call it glass sand. One thing about Kauai's beaches is that they are not all well marked. Sometimes you know your close to one of them because there are a lot of cars parked along the road.
