I have had a YouTube channel for a few years now but I decided that I will try to give it some direction instead of just using it to post vacation videos. I have quite a few videos on there and will be posting more after our Molokai vacation in May. But for my newer content, I will be focusing on Hawaii Vacations, Hawaii Travel tips and activities. I will even touch on Hawaii timeshares and real estate since we have purchased our condo on Molokai. The link to May channel is below go check it out and Subscribe. Bookings Update

For the last few years my weeks have been being booked earlier and earlier. I can book one year in advance and will be taking bookings for 2020 starting next week. If you know you want weeks in January and February in 2020 get a hold of me right away. Those months always book the fasted because it's winter in many other places plus it's whale season in Hawaii.

You can let me know your dates and I will get your choice of units so I can be on the phone to make your reservation right at the one year mark. Remember there are only 4 oceanfront units and at this point only two are renovated, A and B buildings. The C building will be renovated in 2019. The renovations have went very well and has made the Pono Kai more popular than ever, especially with it's gorgeous views and being able to walk right into Kapaa, plus the bike/walking path along the ocean.

So look at the 2020 calendar, get your dates set and contact me to reserve your condo. And of course, let me know if you have any questions.

2018 Bookings

It's only just turning into August and i only have a few 2018 weeks left to book. The trend has held steady over the last four years now. people are booking early. People are taking advantage of booking a year in advance. It's the best way to reserve the unit or building you prefer. i was just there in February and we have our 2018 reservations for May in the A building. i have many pictures and topics to add to the blog so check back often while I get caught up with some posting.

Nawiliwili Lighthouse.

We took some time to drive around and see some places we hadn't gone to in the past. The road to Kilauea lighthouse was being worked on so we thought we would visit the other lighthouse.

There are some great views there and you can drive right up to it. It makes for a nice stop if your in the area.

First Time at Dukes.

After all our trips to Kauai, we finally made our first trip to Dukes. It is a staple for many people during their visits and I don't know why it took us so long to try it out. Great place and we will be bringing friends during our next trip.

Pono Kai Remodel

The remodel has started and you are going to love the changes. You can check out the model unit when your there, it's unit F102. They were working in the K building during our visit in February. Sounded like they would then move to the G building then on to the A building. During that time they will also be doing a few units at a time in the F building.

Let me know what you think of the updates. It will take them about three years to complete all the units.

Smith's Fern Grotto Boat Tour.

Here's another thing that most people do on their first trip so after many years we took the Fern Grotto tour. We'll worth it for $20. You do have to walk a bit when you get to the Grotto but it's a very easy walk.

While walking back to the Pono Kai from Sam's OceanView we saw this Hawaiian Monk Seal and I was able to get some quick video and pictures.

Sam's opened up in the old OceanWalk building. We love this location. It's a short walk from the Pono Kai just up the Coastal Path. The view is great and we love to stop in for lunch. It's not cheap but not too expensive either. Happy hour and specials are good.
